don't you think its a little weird to test pyrene on frogs when, 1) we already know pyrene is toxic, 2) frogs has skins much different from lots of animals, they breath thru the skin right? so the effect of the pyrene getting into their system will be different from that of human, and any test results will be actually non-applicable? so what exactly are you testing them for? what are you looking for? were they aliens and your not telling us something? or your lecturers are holding back something! did you check their eyes for double eyelids?

Actually, wanted to post this in that other thread, What music are you listening to ATM but then it got longer, so I cut and paste it here. Thought it is more appropriate.

For some weird and unknown reasons i am listening to this oldies Bye Bye Baby sang by once very famous Bay City Rollers lol i can't help laughing at their pants hanging 2 inches (actually its more like 4 inches) above the Medial Malleolus (i had to look that up), i also notice something, you don't have to be able to dance good at all back then do you? to become a famous rock group.

They can breath through their skin, but it is not the main way for them to do it. They can breath through their lungs and gills as a tadpole. The breathing of a frog through its lungs is not like us breathing through our lungs. It is much more complicated as it has to go through another chamber before reaching the lungs. They don't breath in the pyrene, it is in water exposure so the pyrene is in the water even though it is extremely insoluble. Frogs are an indicator species and when they start dying out we should be worried. Frogs have permeable skins, just like our cell membranes so the way they get different ions in is the same way our cells do.

We are testing how it effects the skin permeability to certain ions, such as Na+, K+, and Cl-. Previous studies have shown that the major ion is Cl-, when that is taken away the skin does not diffuse the other ions as easily.

We are listening to Christmas music while doing the frog data. Its awesome.

anyways....seems whomever owned that snow had the mind to pay the guys to come and remove it....so my driveway is nice and clean again....

think my hubbys computer died last night....heard a sound like a rubber band breaking (or twacking it against a book or wall) and then the smell of burning plastic...thought it was my computer...but after a while not seeing the lights on his we came to the conclusion it was his.....but it was too late last night (I was getting ready to go to bed eg the sun was thinking about coming up, and he was just about ready to get up to go to work)....so we had all of the computers off....was waaaaay tooooo quiet (am soo used to hearing them all)....only the backup drive and the dumb ups were still making noise (I hate our ups, but thats another story).

gotta watch another patrick stewart movie...maybe dig out the xmen ones.....

hm, has anyone check ebay for guild wars recently??? I ask because I was looking for a new copy of the ce of factions---and found 2 sellers of gold and one selling ecto....not sure who to tell if I should tell anyone (guilt by association---especially when talking with anyone from anet----)....

in other worlds....we think the pop was a fuse in my hubbys power supply...just need a new power supply (or someone to sell just a fuse, no luck so far).....

Ebay is usually bad for finding computer games that require access codes because they are either scammers or gold sellers.

I seem to recall someone blowing a power supply a year or so back...

No we didn't put Santa Hats on them. We figured we were probably scaring them enough since we were killing their friends off slowly.

thanks for the links.....have them already.....and yeah I usually buy from a store or amazon (where I got my new factions for $9...not too bad, but really wanted a ce...but $180 is to rich for my mule so ....and prophecies takes too long to get out of pre...in factions you are right there, though nightfall would have been just as good, might add it later).....but I had ebay up so I looked.....
